    110 Confined Space Workplace Safety
Many workplaces contain spaces that are considered "confined" because their configurations hinder the activities of any employees who must enter, work in, and exit them. For example, employees who work in process vessels generally must squeeze in and out through narrow openings and perform their tasks while cramped or contorted. OSHA uses the term "confined space" to describe such spaces. In addition, there are many instances where employees who work in confined spaces face increased risk of exposure to serious hazards. In some cases, confinement itself poses entrapment hazards. In other cases, confined space work keeps employees closer to hazards, such as asphyxiating atmospheres or the moving parts of machinery. OSHA uses the term "permit-required confined space" (permit space) to describe those spaces that both meet the definition of "confined space" and pose health or safety hazards.

This course provides you the basics you need to know for workplace safety with regards to confined space safety.

    111 Lockout/Tagout & Workplace Safety
Lockout/tagout is specific set of safety related practices and procedures which reduce the risk of harm from the unexpected activation of machinery or energization of electrical systems during maintenance activities. These procedures require workers engaged in service activities to disconnect the affected systems and either lock or tag the systems to prevent them from being reactivated by other workers who are unaware of the maintenance. Standardized lockout/tagout procedures are mandated by several workplace safety regulations including those by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

This course provides you a good knowledge of the basics of Lockout/Tagout & Confined Space Safety.
